I�m a fan of polar environments too (although I wouldn�t like staying there for a long time ), so I�ll post more about Nifehrehn soon!

I�ll start posting particular projects here over the next days; I have some creatures and plants ready, and some ideas for other ones, too!

URU Localization Project

Do you speak English? Do you also speak another language?

My name OHB, and I want to recruit you for the URU Localization Project (ULP)!

Our goal is to translate the content and interface of Myst Online: URU Live into as many language as possible. One day we hope to release language packs so those who don't speak English can fully enjoy the experience of being in D'ni. Language packs also be released for the offline version of URU.

Every day we see an increasing number of visitors to the cavern from other countries who speak little or no English. With each language into which URU is translated, new worlds open for new players. Not only will the URU community grow, but it will be enriched by the diverse cultures participating.

Cyan Worlds is aware of this project - a representative called it "very interesting and something that is needed".

But, we need your help. Even if translating isn't your thing - you can still help by reviewing the translations submitted by others and voting for those that meet expectations. Please join us!

Well, I was in Eder Kemo today and only saw two. I looked in a place I had seen them before - and in much closer proximity - and they weren't there!

Has anyone else noticed their numbers lately? Have they been moving on to greener walls, perhaps?

New shrooms?

In this thread, Karkadann points out a good find - is there a type of shroom we missed in Teledahn? Shown in his picture, here:

I'll admit I had never noticed this before! They do appear to be a form of puffball at first glance. They bear a resemblance to the pin shrooms, which got me thinking. Perhaps the "puffballs" are an immature form of the pin shrooms - the "head" grows first in puffball form, and when it matures, the stem starts to grow. Or perhaps it really is a different form of shroom that we missed! Are there any other forms of this besides the examples shown here?

Does anyone know what dadguy is referring to in this note about new noises in Teledahn, and especially "and she [Marie] identified them"? I don't have the time to follow up on this at the moment, would someone who's down in the Cavern be able to check into it?

Someone mentioned to talk to EthanEver, if we can track him down...

Unlikely, but possible. Perhaps it creates a partial vacuum internally and the act of "inhaling" spores to internally consume acts a method to move?

Please add sections like this to the other entries as you review them; bonus points for IC statements.
