I understand Nick White is a bit of a... flake... but I'm pretty sure he isn't quite as incompetent as to put the DRC stamp on the USS Imminent Implosion.

If the DRC is releasing an Age that's degraded, it must be either implying:

'Hay guise, keep on coming back as we repair it as a way to show how quickly we work on things.'

or

'If you want this pod fixed, you better help us do it. We're up to our testamacles in work here and our last three Explorer Relations guys took a header into the Great Descent.'

I think Cate addressed this in one of her recent chats. The ADM folks were badgering her about the safety of Tetsonot, and she in effect said "We worked on it, it passed our safety tests, no it isn't perfect, but we deem it safe enough. If you don't want to be there, don't go there, but we don't have a problem with you being there."

Does anyone here think that the current status of Tetsonot has anything to do with the "Bahronoir?"

(edit) I also now have a little theory on the lack of visibility outside. Seeing as we're pretty sure this is an abyssal pod, I think that over time, the pod sank into the ooze at the bottom. That's why it looks solid white outside - we're ten feet in abyssal sludge!
