Have you guys seen this thread over at the DRC forums? I haven't been able to get to the Cavern since someone mentioned this to check it out. It seems the animals in Gahreesen are making more noise and generally acting up.
Can anyone here confirm this? And ideas what's going on? _________________ Those who dance appear insane to those who can't hear the music. - Mark Kleiman |

There's a bit o' vaccilation on it; I host the mp3 Wihlham handed me on the cluster at work (almost 500 hits on the first day!)

I and a few other DZS boffins meandered over to the Kadish door and can attest that this does not sound happy fun joy pleasant.
There is debate though whether this is a 'new' sound since very few people linger just behind the Journey doors.
Folks are saying that it's the same as POTS as well, but I haven't verified it m'self.

wow, the Bahro definetly sound more active than they usually do, in that recording... interesting...
I guess I misunderstood the initial report then, I thought they were talking about the Gahreesen beasts (on the hills around the fortress) being more active... _________________ Those who dance appear insane to those who can't hear the music. - Mark Kleiman |

There was a report of the Gahreesen beasties acting up, but everything I've heard since then has disagreed. Perceived difference, probably. I haven't noticed any changes.
But yeah. The Bahro are having fun times in the caves. Laxman, I believe, more or less confirmed that. |

Since we're breaking the first rule of Bahro Fight Club, what can we take away from the fact that such fisticuffs is going on? _________________ <PSA> Friends Don't Let Friends Link Drunk. </PSA> |

That was mentioned, and I believe it. I have spent much time in Gahreesen listening for those roars, and have never before heard one. On my last trip after that report, I heard roaring several times in the space of one revolution of the training building. (I was standing at the end of one of the bridges, since I had been told long ago that the best place to catch the sound was from there.) _________________ *SLMW 1.0* No animals were harmed in the production of this message. |

hmm, guess I'll hafta check it out for myself. The Beasts are typically active in my Gahreesen; not overtly so, but I hear them regularly. I guess it is a perceived differnce... _________________ Those who dance appear insane to those who can't hear the music. - Mark Kleiman |
