I've bashed off another request to the DRC to do a bit more legwork for us: | Quote: | | Could someone at the DRC verify the age of the giant bones that make up the cage in Minkata and also perform a marrow sample comparason to known creatures in the Ages? |
Let's run down the possibilities:
The bones are relatively (as in <year) new and come from a specific known creature.
The bones are relatively (as in <year> new and come from multiple known and unknown creatures
The bones are relatively old and come from a specific known creature.
The bones are relatively old and come from a multiple known and unknown creatures.
The bones vary greatly in age and generally come from a specific creature.
The bones vary greatly in age and have no common creature origin.
They aren't bones. _________________ <PSA> Friends Don't Let Friends Link Drunk. </PSA> |

Is there anyone here who is studying the bones in general?
*If so, are there any similarities from bones of one age to another?
*Can you tell anything about what the critters are who "contributed" their bones and tusks to the architecture everywhere?
*Any theories on the bones in Minkata? Are they from native creatures or was this "building material" from elsewhere, so to speak? (I have heard different ideas- some say they were linked in as supplies and not native to Minkata). But if Payiferen can support the Sandscrit, I'd think Minkata could have supported life at one time. |

It's really, really difficult to tell where all the bones came from, because they're found in so many ages. Also, we've seen very few dead animals or skeletons, so it's nigh impossible to identify whether the bones are from the ages, imported from somewhere else, or whatever other possibilities there may be.
Example: The Bones in Eder Gira bear a resemblance to those in Minkata, and the tusks making up the chandeliers in the Bahro Caves look like those used in the Link Bubbles, which also resemble Laki tusks. Taking all of this into account, the bones could be from absolutely anywhere.
Edit: Perhaps they are from a centralized home age of the Bahro... Noloben looks likely, but I doubt there are ten-ton seagulls there to supply the bones... _________________ Am I not Urwinny enough for the Urwin club?
