WOW; Bokonon, fantastic images. Your capture technique is superb. I could not defeat the contrast problems I encountered on my last stalk. _________________ ~ sempler's shards ~ |

Ces, my knowledge of the writing of linking books and such is already limited, but as I understand it Yeesha was the only person capable of writing an Age like Relto. So, maybe part of its uniqueness is that things can be added and taken away easily? _________________ "There is no better high than discovery." ~E. O. Wilson |

Do you want a spoiler, or for us to tell you out-right?
It's in the alternate Kadish vault.
You reach the alternate vault using a Bahro stone in the 'real' vault.
It's in the left corner by the door.

Long time friend of mine Lepidopterists Ravin, has allowed me to share his image of the Relto butterfly with the Society.

Over the years Ravin has developed some incredible high speed image capturing and editing techniques. Check out Ravin's Tutorials... for “How To’s”. _________________ ~ sempler's shards ~ |

I recently made an interesting discovery as to the origin of this butterfly. I was searching Laki'ahn for new, previously unseen species, and I happened to spot a group of beautiful red butterflies. Upon closer inspection, I found that they were identical to those seen in Kadish Tolesa!
I made the necessary changes to the Wiki as to the butterflies' origin. Maybe we should change the name? _________________ Am I not Urwinny enough for the Urwin club?

Well, the thing to keep in mind here is that the Myst games don't reflect reality. Keeping a purely IC outlook, Myst V is a game that Cyan developed based on stories/speculation from within the cavern. While the events that unfolded in the game are more or less accurate, the details to this point haven't been validated. It's perfectly reasonable to assume that a Cyantist saw the butterflies in his Relto and used them as a model for the Laki butterflies in the video game. I would not change the name quite yet, and I would also suggest not stating as fact that they exist on Laki, since technically, none of us has been there yet. _________________ Those who dance appear insane to those who can't hear the music. - Mark Kleiman |

Ah... Good point. I shall edit those and other Myst V statements out then. _________________ Am I not Urwinny enough for the Urwin club?

Well, is it all right to keep in other species seen in Myst V? I mean plants and such. I don't think the Laki is going under "Speculation" anytime soon, but as for the minor plants and animals...?
For example, I put in a small page on these birds I spotted in Direbo. Should that stay or be edited out? _________________ Am I not Urwinny enough for the Urwin club?

As far as I've always seen it if a plant or animal appears in one of the games then it can live in our Wiki too.
If you wish to write pages about them that's great. They are all part of the Myst story after all.
The only complication is keeping the 'virtual' and the 'real' Myst features separate. _________________
